The Jordan Pond House Restaurant, Acadia National Park, ME

Bread and butter is the most perfect food combination, especially when it is hot and fresh!  At Jordan Pond House Restaurant in Acadia National Park,  afternoon tea is served with hot, fresh popovers, whipped butter, and plenty of strawberry preserves.  Add a glass of iced tea and you have the perfect afternoon indulgence as you enjoy the scenery and awesome beauty of Acadia.  And, for those who fall in love with these delicacies, the gift shop sells it all – the popover pan, the strawberry preserves, and the popover recipe so that you can recreate it all again when you get home.  Afterwards, walk down to the pond’s edge and be sure to notice the wildflowers, wild blueberries, and the clear, still water of the pond.  This is a wonderful stop in the park and one that no one should miss while exploring Acadia.
