Trace Adkins Rocks Rockingham Fair!

The weather forecast was dismal – 80% chance of heavy showers all evening.   But, somehow, the rain stopped, the clouds thinned, and even a bit of blue sky appeared just as the hour of the grandstand performance neared.  Enthusiastic fans filled the wet (and muddy) grandstand area, waiting for Trace Adkins to appear.  Many had obviously seen him perform before, as Trace t-shirts and cowboy hats (some with autographs) were everywhere.  Amid a sunflare backdrop, the show began, the weather did not matter anymore, and the crowd was treated to song after song off of the new album, “Cowboy’s Back in Town.”   With his deep voice and his fun, storytelling lyrics, the crowd enthusiastically embraced the new songs and quickly added them to the Trace repertoire that they so clearly loved.  As it goes with concerts, it was over all too soon and everyone poured out of the muddy grandstand, stomping mud while purchasing t-shirts, baseball caps, and autographed copies of the new album in an effort to extend the experience just a little while longer.
